But first Mavis

This week I learned you can play UNO on Mavis. Not quite sure how I figured that out but here she is sleeping to our game. She is currently trying to sit on the laptop whilst I’m typing. It’s swings and roundabouts with Mavis.

Why the art sale Reina?

I’m trying to make space in my home so that I can get more canvasses, and then onto the vanity filled reason. Well not totally vanity filled. I was supposed to get braces in my teens. But I had this rather bizarre dentist. My days this is turning into some sort of woe is me tale about the dentist but I’ve started typing so I’ll finish.

Anywho, short version is on run up to said braces, he yanked out a wobbly tooth with no notice at age 12. I cried, mouth filled with blood. I shouted “my mouth is filling with blood” – he said, “Well there’s nothing I can do for you. Nurse take her out.” Now this was the late 90s / early 00s and my sister had taken me to said appt. So we left and moved practice. But dun dun dun….he was the only person who did ortho referrals at the time.

So no braces for Reina. Alongside poor dental hygiene whilst still in active addiction, it’s meant that where my mouth is crowding is tricky to clean and can lead to problems later on. Hence why nearing my 40s I’m getting braces, but am now having to go private. So I’m hoping to part with some pieces to get my braces. Pieces for braces if you will. But don’t buy anything to fulfil some sob story of braces, if you like something aces, if you don’t then you still get pictures of Mavis by subscribing. We don’t want folk parting with their money unless they want to. Something for everyone really.

Sizes and prices are on each piece and include postage and packaging cause I hate it when you go to buy something and then realise shipping is like a small fortune.

Remember – I’m nae in the business of scamming people so just remember these pieces aren’t framed. You’ll need to take them to a framer (I don’t frame my work because I don’t know what colours will work in your home). At this point you might be questioning my sales method but hey ho.

Also 30″ is circa 76cm.

I’ve called then image 1, 2 etc to make it easy to figure out which painting is which. You don’t need to remember my whimsical painting names.

And what’s new Reina?

Well, other than my crippling loneliness (I’m joking I love my life), I painted this big lad. He’s 40 x 40″ (or 1m x1m) I like him. I hope someone else does too.
